Changes in Administration Coming to North Dakota

North Dakota H.B. 1384 (passed 2nd reading on Feb. 7)

This bill shifts responsibility to employ an administrator of unclaimed property from the Commissioner of University and School Lands to the State Treasurer. This would finally make the administrating agency of unclaimed property in North Dakota similar to most other states.

A simultaneous repeal (under Section 15-02-05.2) takes the power away from the Commissioner of University and School Lands in order to make the bill possible.
